The £1,000 donation will allow us to fund 25 music therapy sessions for children and young people with special educational needs or life-limiting illness within the community. Many families with children who have additional needs already incur additional costs, and have been further impacted by the cost-of-living crisis, meaning they struggle to fund the costs of music therapy themselves.
This funding means we can support more children to access music therapy when it is not available to them through other means. We know that music is a powerful tool for communication, and through these sessions more children will be given their voice.
