What our donation will help fund

We put 50% of our Movement for Good Award towards an aquatic habitat creation and restoration project at Kemerton Lake Nature Reserve which included the installation of a new water pipe between two waterbodies on site, erosion control measure on the islands, new habitat for fish and crayfish in the lake, and eDNA tests on water samples to help us build on existing data. The project received a substantial grant from Natural Networks but KCT had to pay the balance of costs and our Movement for Good Award meant we had funds available to do that.

We put 50% of our Movement for Good Award towards a woodland grazing and visitor improvement project at Kemerton Lake Nature Reserve which included new fencing in the woodland to allow conservation grazing, new benches and signage for visitors to the reserve, updated map and information leaflets for visitors and to use at our outreach events, and bluebell and daffodil bulbs planted in the woodland to increase early nectar sources and add to the beauty of the reserve. The project received a substantial grant from FiPL and an additional grant from Highfields Trust CIO but KCT had to pay the balance of costs and our Movement for Good Award meant we had funds available to do that.
