Our Movement for Good grant from the Benefact Group will fund exciting new developments in the specialist support for the sector provided by the Drug Education Forum (DEF). The DEF is a national community of practice led by the DSM Foundation, aiming to strengthen, support and advocate for the drug education and harm reduction sector. It brings together drug education providers, practitioners and policy makers from across the UK who are committed to high quality, evidence-based drug education for all young people.
The grant will enable the DEF to expand and strengthen its support for the sector, which currently consists of termly events with expert speakers. Thanks to this funding we will also be able to deliver termly themed webinars, bringing together specialists on a specific topic of relevance, as well as training on priority issues, monthly podcasts in conversation with previous DEF speakers and relevant experts, and enhanced digital communications for members.
